2013 Season Newcastle Island Ferry Schedule
The ferry runs every 30 minutes throughout the day between the times listed below.
May 1st to May 16th: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily
The last ferry leaves the Maffeo Sutton dock at 4:30 p.m.
The last ferry leaves the Newcastle Island dock at 4:45 p.m.
May 17th to May 31st: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily
The last ferry leaves the Maffeo Sutton dock at 8:30 p.m.
The last ferry leaves the Newcastle Island dock at 8:45 p.m.
June, July and August: 9:00am to 9:00 p.m. daily
The last ferry leaves the Maffeo Sutton dock at 8:30 p.m.
The last ferry leaves the Newcastle Island dock at 8:45 p.m.
September 1st and 2nd: 9:00am to 9:00 p.m. daily
The last ferry leaves the Maffeo Sutton dock at 8:30 p.m.
The last ferry leaves the Newcastle Island dock at 8:45 p.m.
September 3rd - 30th: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily
The last ferry leaves the Maffeo Sutton dock at 4:30 p.m.
The last ferry leaves the Newcastle Island dock at 4:45 p.m.
The ferry departs Maffeo-Sutton Park every 30 minutes during operating times.
2013 Fares (Return Trip)
Adult: $9.00
Senior: $8.00
Child (age 12 and under): $5.00
Infant (under 12 months): no charge
Dog: no charge
Additional Fees:
Bicycle: $1.00
Kayak: $2.00
Equipment/Supplies: $2.00
Note: Groups of 25 or more who book with Nanaimo Harbour Ferry in advance will pay a maximum of $50 (in addition to their individual fares) for transportation of their equipment/supplies.
